Continuing on from last weeks post I hope you have gotten into the Christmas spirit without any unnecessary stress. I personally have had a slow start to this season. Although, I did go out yesterday and clip some evergreen and magnolia branches and got out some of our glass ornaments. This year I thought in keeping with the simplicity/less is more motto, I have decided to decorate in silver, golds and mercury glass. I gathered all my mercury glass candle holders and placed them on the mantel, added fresh cut evergreens, and olde fashion white lights – simple but very elegant looking. I plan to decorate our tree in the same fashion. I filled some glass containers with silver and gold glass ornaments and others with fresh pine cones, hung fresh garland around our front door with white lights and created an evergreen swag for our mailbox.
